IT Park and Cebu Business Park have dense fiber, but climb into Guadalupe, Sirao, Busay, or Sapangdaku and the picture changes fast. Neighborhoods We Serve
Metro Cebu has dozens of districts and barangays, each with its own connectivity profile. The places we install most often:
- IT Park, Asiatown, and Cebu Business Park. Office tower installs (with building permission) for tenants frustrated by managed-network rate-limits. Roof access varies by building — we coordinate with property management.
- Guadalupe, Pung-ol Sibugay, Sirao, and Sudlon. Hillside residential and farm installs where fiber stops at the foothills. Strong line-of-sight to satellite constellations once mounted above the canopy.
- Banawa, Capitol Site, and Lahug. Older residential areas where PLDT lines exist but service has degraded; many switch to Starlink rather than wait for fiber upgrades.
- Talamban, Mabolo, and Apas. Mixed residential/commercial. Common for AirBnB hosts adding Starlink as a backup or primary line.
- Pardo, Bulacao, and Inayawan. Southern Cebu City — fiber availability is patchy as you head toward the coastal road.

Terrain & Fiber Gap
Cebu City sits on a narrow coastal plain backed almost immediately by mountains. The fiber rollout follows the plain. Drive uphill on any of the major arteries — Salinas Drive, the Transcentral Highway, or M.J. Cuenco Avenue past Mabolo — and within ten minutes you've crossed from fiber-everywhere into a patchwork of LTE, fixed wireless, and "wait six months for installation." Starlink ignores that gradient. The dish sees the sky regardless of whether a fiber crew has reached your road.
The other big driver is the building stock. Cebu City has thousands of pre-fiber buildings that were never wired for in-house ethernet, and getting line-installed inside an older concrete structure can mean drilling, conduit work, and weeks of coordination. A Starlink dish on the roof and a wireless router inside skips all of that — the install is fully self-contained.
Topographically, Cebu City is also unusual for a Philippine capital city: the mountain spine sits less than three kilometres inland from the coastal commercial belt. That compression is what creates the steep coverage gradient — a household in upper Lahug is only a five-minute drive from IT Park but may sit outside any meaningful fiber footprint. We've measured Starlink download speeds in upper Busay and upper Guadalupe that comfortably exceed the throughput most commercial fiber lines in the city actually deliver during peak hours.
Sinulog & Event-Scale Connectivity
Cebu City hosts Sinulog every January and a calendar of smaller civic and trade events year-round. The connectivity profile during these events is unforgiving: cellular networks saturate in the Poblacion and along Osmeña Boulevard, event venues running streaming or ticketing rely on rented temporary lines, and hotels see fiber lines drop under guest demand. Starlink provides a parallel path that doesn't compete for tower capacity or last-mile fiber bandwidth. We've supported live-streaming setups, on-site point-of-sale kiosks, and event-venue WiFi backbones during peak Sinulog congestion. Recommended Package
For most Cebu City addresses we recommend the Starlink V4 (₱35,500). It's the standard high-output dish for homes and offices, includes the kickstand mount, and works under heavy rain. Office and resort installs that need extra reach can pair it with a third-party mesh system.

The Flat High Performance dish is reserved for marine and vehicle use — relevant if you're outfitting a Mactan-based boat or a fleet vehicle.
Install Notes
Cebu City installs have three specific considerations the team has refined over hundreds of mounts:
- Typhoon season. From August to December we use heavier ballast and double-bolted mounts. The dish is rated IP67 and survives wind well, but the bracket is the failure point we engineer around.
- Concrete rooftops. Older Cebu rooftops are reinforced concrete with poor drilling tolerance. We bring core drills and anchor systems rated for the local code.
- Rooftop access. Some condos and townhouses restrict roof access. We can install on a balcony, on a wall-mounted pole, or on a free-standing tripod with weighted base — line-of-sight permitting.
We always run a pre-install ocular check (free for Metro Cebu addresses) to confirm sky clearance. If your prospective mount point doesn't have line-of-sight, we tell you on-site and re-survey. We don't install dishes that won't perform.
